Wore this on saturday for a lunch and movie date with my little family, I've had this dress for over a year I have only worn it a handful of times. Since one of my new years resolution was to find new ways to use what I already have in my wardrobe and add new items as they are needed.

First Impression Tuesdays: Revlon Age Defying CC Cream

This weeks product is the Revlon Age Defying CC Cream, since I don't mind wearing a full coverage foundation but sometimes I do like to give my skin a rest.  Since I do have lots of dark spots and I still want some coverage since I'm not still comfortable with a bare face.

Company Claims:

A powerhouse against the first signs of aging.

85% of women saw a reduction in the appearance of dark spots on bare skin.*

It’s never too early to fight aging. This multi-benefit dynamo hydrates, smoothes, evens tone, diminishes the look of fine lines and dark spots, and protects against premature aging caused by sun. For perfected skin that glows.

Mascara: Loreal Telescopic & Loreal Lash Out Butterfly
(favorite combo at the moment Check out review for Loreal Lash Out Butterfly here)

Review:

The Garnier BB Cream is the most comparable product that I have used to the Revlon CC Cream.

The first day I used this product noticed that it made me look very shiny and oily, I decided to set it with my Revlon Nearly Naked since it's a very thin powder.  Within 2 hours of wearing the CC Cream it oxdiced on my skin making the CC Cream very dark and oily, the next day I used it the same way but this time I set it with my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder on the second day my skin looked mostly even  with no shine for the full 8 hours I wore it.  At the end of the night of CC Cream did fade and my dark spots were very visible.  On the third day I used this CC Cream under my foundation (here) because of all the benefits that it has specially the SPF and since I don't usually don't wear SPF under my foundation I though this would be perfect.  Over all for me this is a good product to use on those days were I don't want to wear foundation but still want to cover most of my dark spots and still feel comfortable, compared to the Garnier BB Cream I must say that I prefer the CC Cream.

I would like to apologize for this post going up so late, sometimes you need to spend time with people who are important and spend hours listening to them vent and help them move forward with a positive mind.

First Impression Tuesdays: Loreal Butterfly Mascara

When I first saw this mascara on social media I was most curious about the wand, everyone spoke about the wand and how different it was from all the other ones.  If you have been following me you know that my all time favorite mascara is the Telescopic, I have been using it for the past 3-4 years and I don't ever change it.

Pros

Gives length right away
It doesn't clump
Lashes don't look spidery

Cons

I could not achieve much volume (I applied 3 coats total)

I love really bold thick lashes and I was not able to get them with this mascara.  Although I applied 3 coats they didn't get the thickness that I like.

Overall I would recommend this mascara to someone that is looking for mainly length, I will continue to used it probably as an everyday mascara and hope that as the formula dries it will make my lashes look thickness.

As you can see in the after picture I did add eyeliner to my top lash line to give the impression of thicker lashes.

Thanks for stopping by,

Influenster Jolly VoxBox

This is my first Influenster Jolly VoxBox, and I am really happy with what I got to try out.

The Puffs Plus Lotion Tissues

This were a life saver, my daughter had a runny noose when they arrived a couple of days before Christmas and I still had some last minute shopping left to do and while we were at the mall she kept them in her pocket.  The packaging was small enough for her to fit in the pocket of her coat, and they were very right there when ever she needed them, they also did not hurt her little nose.  She usually complains because she says that it hurts when she has to blow her noose since with other tissues the skin around her nose gets so dry and cracked and it bothers her.

Mini Ducklings Duck Tape

This tape was also another life saver when I ran out of tape for my boxes to get them ready for my gift wrapping I used the duck tape and it helped me sealed and get them ready for the wrapping paper.  The boxes looked very cute with the tape since the design on the tape gave them a little something extra.

Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolate  $3.49

Loved this chocolates although I have been enjoying dark chocolate mostly lately, the Peanut Butter filling made gave them a special taste.

NYC HD Color Trio in Long Beach Sands  $2.99

I love neutrals they are the best for a quick eye look that makes you look put together with out having to spend lots of time, you can check out my post here.  This trio has really good quality the eye shadows have a good color payoff and they show up on the lids very nicely,  and they show up even better when you damp your brush.  If you are someone that is just beginning with makeup this trio is for you it has directions on how you can apply them and the colors makes them perfect.

Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in Luna  $4.99

This has got to be my favorite item that I received,  I am completly in love with this Lip Lacquer its the most beautiful nude coral color that I own.  Its the perfect nude color to pair with any eye look, what I love the most is that its not sticky at all and also that the color stays on your lips for a long time.  I really want to try out other colors in the line, specially the red and pink one.
