First Impression Tuesdays: Loreal Butterfly Mascara

When I first saw this mascara on social media I was most curious about the wand, everyone spoke about the wand and how different it was from all the other ones.  If you have been following me you know that my all time favorite mascara is the Telescopic, I have been using it for the past 3-4 years and I don't ever change it.

Pros

Gives length right away
It doesn't clump
Lashes don't look spidery

Cons

I could not achieve much volume (I applied 3 coats total)

I love really bold thick lashes and I was not able to get them with this mascara.  Although I applied 3 coats they didn't get the thickness that I like.

Overall I would recommend this mascara to someone that is looking for mainly length, I will continue to used it probably as an everyday mascara and hope that as the formula dries it will make my lashes look thickness.

As you can see in the after picture I did add eyeliner to my top lash line to give the impression of thicker lashes.

Influenster Jolly VoxBox

This is my first Influenster Jolly VoxBox, and I am really happy with what I got to try out.

The Puffs Plus Lotion Tissues

This were a life saver, my daughter had a runny noose when they arrived a couple of days before Christmas and I still had some last minute shopping left to do and while we were at the mall she kept them in her pocket.  The packaging was small enough for her to fit in the pocket of her coat, and they were very right there when ever she needed them, they also did not hurt her little nose.  She usually complains because she says that it hurts when she has to blow her noose since with other tissues the skin around her nose gets so dry and cracked and it bothers her.

Mini Ducklings Duck Tape

This tape was also another life saver when I ran out of tape for my boxes to get them ready for my gift wrapping I used the duck tape and it helped me sealed and get them ready for the wrapping paper.  The boxes looked very cute with the tape since the design on the tape gave them a little something extra.

Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolate  $3.49

Loved this chocolates although I have been enjoying dark chocolate mostly lately, the Peanut Butter filling made gave them a special taste.

NYC HD Color Trio in Long Beach Sands  $2.99

I love neutrals they are the best for a quick eye look that makes you look put together with out having to spend lots of time, you can check out my post here.  This trio has really good quality the eye shadows have a good color payoff and they show up on the lids very nicely,  and they show up even better when you damp your brush.  If you are someone that is just beginning with makeup this trio is for you it has directions on how you can apply them and the colors makes them perfect.

Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in Luna  $4.99

This has got to be my favorite item that I received,  I am completly in love with this Lip Lacquer its the most beautiful nude coral color that I own.  Its the perfect nude color to pair with any eye look, what I love the most is that its not sticky at all and also that the color stays on your lips for a long time.  I really want to try out other colors in the line, specially the red and pink one.

During the colder months of the year we forget that all about color, and we focus mainly on neutral darker colors.  You know that I love love my browns, golds, and bronzed color but its nice to add a pop of color I specially love pinks, purples and green because it makes my brown eyes pop. I would totally wear this look to a Christmas party or to a Christmas Dinner with my cousins.

Nude Holiday Eyes

There is only 14 days till Christmas and I am very very happy I can't believe it, for the next 2 weeks I'll be posting different makeup looks that you can wear while doing some Christmas shopping, to a Christmas Party on Christmas Eve or just to any event that you might have coming up.  It's no secret that I love neutral colors for my eyes, lets be honest I don't always have an hour to do my makeup and I've found that the easiest and fastest way is with a neutral eye that can be paired with different shades of  lipstick.  It takes me no more than 5 minutes to do my eyes and when I add the lipstick it just makes it seem that I took way longer to get my look together.  But here are some options I would wear this to any event as you can see every lipstick gives it a different look perhaps you want to wear the nude lipstick to go shopping but then come home and put on the red if you have a last minute Christmas Party.

Review: Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive (here)

Price: $6.49

First Impression:

The first day I put this on it look very splotchy on the lips and just for this first time I thought that I was because my lips were chapped really bad.  The second day it looked better since I did use chap-stick before I started doing my makeup. After about 15 minutes the balm sets in your lips and the little shine that was there from the beginning it goes away, and you are set for the next 3-4 hours without touching up.

Overall:

I was looking for a Matte lipstick that was in a everyday color but that also had a long lasting power.  This balm is a nice wearble color and it did last on my lips for about 4 hours without touching up, and need less to say this has become my everyday lipstick and  would recommended to everyone to try it out.

PS. I did have lunch during the time I was wearing this balm and it held up pretty good.
