First Impression Tuesdays: Revlon Age Defying CC Cream

This weeks product is the Revlon Age Defying CC Cream, since I don't mind wearing a full coverage foundation but sometimes I do like to give my skin a rest.  Since I do have lots of dark spots and I still want some coverage since I'm not still comfortable with a bare face.

Company Claims:

A powerhouse against the first signs of aging.

85% of women saw a reduction in the appearance of dark spots on bare skin.*

It’s never too early to fight aging. This multi-benefit dynamo hydrates, smoothes, evens tone, diminishes the look of fine lines and dark spots, and protects against premature aging caused by sun. For perfected skin that glows.

Mascara: Loreal Telescopic & Loreal Lash Out Butterfly
(favorite combo at the moment Check out review for Loreal Lash Out Butterfly here)

Review:

The Garnier BB Cream is the most comparable product that I have used to the Revlon CC Cream.

The first day I used this product noticed that it made me look very shiny and oily, I decided to set it with my Revlon Nearly Naked since it's a very thin powder.  Within 2 hours of wearing the CC Cream it oxdiced on my skin making the CC Cream very dark and oily, the next day I used it the same way but this time I set it with my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder on the second day my skin looked mostly even  with no shine for the full 8 hours I wore it.  At the end of the night of CC Cream did fade and my dark spots were very visible.  On the third day I used this CC Cream under my foundation (here) because of all the benefits that it has specially the SPF and since I don't usually don't wear SPF under my foundation I though this would be perfect.  Over all for me this is a good product to use on those days were I don't want to wear foundation but still want to cover most of my dark spots and still feel comfortable, compared to the Garnier BB Cream I must say that I prefer the CC Cream.

I would like to apologize for this post going up so late, sometimes you need to spend time with people who are important and spend hours listening to them vent and help them move forward with a positive mind.

First Impression Tuesdays: Loreal Butterfly Mascara

When I first saw this mascara on social media I was most curious about the wand, everyone spoke about the wand and how different it was from all the other ones.  If you have been following me you know that my all time favorite mascara is the Telescopic, I have been using it for the past 3-4 years and I don't ever change it.

Pros

Gives length right away
It doesn't clump
Lashes don't look spidery

Cons

I could not achieve much volume (I applied 3 coats total)

I love really bold thick lashes and I was not able to get them with this mascara.  Although I applied 3 coats they didn't get the thickness that I like.

Overall I would recommend this mascara to someone that is looking for mainly length, I will continue to used it probably as an everyday mascara and hope that as the formula dries it will make my lashes look thickness.

As you can see in the after picture I did add eyeliner to my top lash line to give the impression of thicker lashes.

Thanks for stopping by,

Michael Todd Acne or Oily Sentitive Skin Regimen: Day One

To start let me give you a little back ground of my skin:

I have Oily combination with a very oily t-zone, I have some what sensitive skin since there is some products that will cause an allergic reaction but at the same time I can exfoliate my skin every day twice a day without it getting dried or damaged.

Purchase the complete system: (Here)

 Why I choose this system:

This system was something that I considered because its something that I hadn't tried and believe me I have used anything and everything from Proactive to Drugstore and nothing has really worked I would consistently have to change products because my skin will get used to them really fast.  I did get a sample of the Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub in one of my Ipsy Bag. At that time that I was using the scrub along with another cleanser my skin was the most clear I had seen it in a while.  To be honest with you I choose the system because  of the scrub.

First Impressions:

Charcoal Detox Deep Pore Gel Cleanser:
Gently Removes dirt,oil, makeup and impurities without residue or irritation

* Removes all my face makeup with out having to scrub
* This really gets inside my pores and makes them feel clean
* One pump is more than enough
* Love the Citrus Scent

Jojoba Charcoal Scrub:
Exfoliates/Removes Impurities for all skin types

* It takes off all the dead skin away
* Very gentle on the skin
* Love the Citrus Scent

Kaolin Clay Detoxifying Mask
Extra absorbent

* It feels very cooling on the skin
* Skin feels clean and very refreshed after you washed it off
* It was on my skin for 15 Min (as indicated)
* Used it as a spot treatment and noticed that it dried out the Pimple

Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner:
Highly moisturizing anti-inflamatory and anti-bacterial for all skin types

* Took away the whatever was left on my skin after the cleanser,scrub and the face mask
* I didn't notice anything different than any other toner
* Scent is very strong (very old man like)

Antioxidant Carrot Serum:
Repairs and prevent future skin damage

* Sinks into the skin easily
* Scent is very light but once applied on the skin it becomes stronger

Overall Thoughts:

I love the way this system makes my skin feel, it calms down the redness and the bumps that I may have have significantly gone down.  I'm so in love with the gel cleanser I really like the way it removes all my face makeup and combined with the Scrub my skin feel amazingly clean.  The toner is the one thing that I have not yet seem to find anything that makes it unique keeping in mind that I have only used this system for 2 days maybe in a couple of days I'll notice something.  I also really enjoy the mask I used it the first day as indicated and it felt like it did pull out all impurities that I had, the second day I used it as a spot treatment and it did dry out some on the pimples that I treated.  The serum is very nice I don't feel the need to add a moisturizer afterwards since it gives me the right amount of moisture at night during the day I do use my Cetafyl Moisturizer.

I will continue to use this and will update you after a month or so and show you an after picture like the one above.

Thanks for reading,

(I had been breaking out so bad for the past 2 months, even though I've been struggling  with acne for years it still messes with my head and affects my self esteem. )

It goes on very easy and smooth, they don't feel heavy at all and if your like me that you don't wear lipstick with these I couldn't even feel it on my lips. The color is very build able giving you a lot of options.
Pros:
* Very Creamy
* Moisturizing
* It applies really smooth
* Price
Cons:

None that I could think of

Overall:

I did purchase two different shades to see if there was a difference in the pigmentation but unfortunately the Nude Chic did not show up on my lips and it was not the product it's the pigmentation in my lips, this did not affect my opinion.  I really love the product since I'm don't really wear lipstick this is perfect for me since its a very light formula.

Review: Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick

Shade: Anarchy (Purchase Here)
Fill Weight: 2.8g
Cost:  $22.00

Company Description:

Creamy, badass luxury. Our Pigment Infusion System™ delivers insane color payoff with creamy shine, Maxi-Lip™ plumps and nourishing oils leave lips cushiony soft.

First Impression:

It goes on like a dream, It's very smooth and creamy.  It also gives a very nice shine to the lips that for my liking its enough that you don't have to add a lip gloss, of course if you do like a very shiny lip you can add a lip gloss on top.  I did notice that after an hour of wearing it it did bleed a little since I did not use a lip pencil since I wanted see the true longevity of the product.

Pros:

* How creamy they are
* Last a long time
* It applies really smooth

Cons:

*The change of color

Overall:

As you can tell by the pictures the color completely changed in went from a pinky-salmon color to a bright pink. (please note that the first picture was taken right after I put on the lipstick), to me this change is not a big issue but  I don't understand why the dramatic change of color in such a short period.  I did have lunch at around 2:30pm and as you can see the lipstick pretty much stayed put and I didn't have to retouch. Over all I think that this are great lipstick love how long the last and how creamy they are.

Thanks,
